Oginski - Lithuanian nobility family, which from the seventeenth century made a great influence to Lithuania's political and cultural life.
In the center of the composition stands the coat of arms of Oginski family. On the left side - the mansion of Rietavas, which at the time of Oginski reign was a center of culture and technology. On the right stands the University Observatory of Vilnius - the oldest in Eastern Europe and the fourth in the world, built for astronomical observation. It was founded in 1753 with the support of Elizabeth Oginska-Puzynina.
At the bottom of the composition lies a fragment from the M. K. Oginski polonaise "Farewell to the Fatherland".
